Summer's appeal is in living life to the fullest, barefoot and carefree. But as we know there is a time and a season for everything. You have to keep the laid-back vibe in check; otherwise you will find yourself off-course. Autumn brings structure and routine. "Back to school" transcends youth. Adults too are back to business with renewed focus. The end of summer is a perfect time to take inventory and ask, "Are my actions in keeping with my goals?" Perhaps it's time to rediscover the liberating rewards of discipline and gain momentum toward your optimum health! By returning to schedules, you will find it easier to get your KettleWorx Workouts done. Can you find 20 minutes, 3 times a week to get the body you want?
September 22nd is the Autumnal Equinox, one of only two times a year when the sun's path is perpendicular to the equator resulting in an equal balance of day and night. There's a theory that it's easier to balance an egg on its end on this day. Whether it's true or not, I challenge you to make September 22nd the day you challenge yourself and write down a new personal goal to achieve within the next 6 weeks. "I absolutely LOVE kettleworx!! I started the Kettleworx "6-Week Body Transformation" back on January 1st with the 5 lb kettlebell and I have been doing the program ever since with advancing to a 10 lb kettlebell and moved to the "Level 2" kettleworx dvds in April and am now using a 12 lb kettlebell. I lost 27 lbs in the first 14 weeks and have gone down 3 pant sizes by exercising to the Kettleworx dvds as well as implementing the Fat Free in 42 nutrition information. I feel great!! SEASONAL SUPERFOOD...Blueberry Health Bars!!
Hi Honey - Here's the recipe for the Blueberry Health Bars. Enjoy.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
3. Combine the oats, flour, bran, brown sugar substitute and baking soda in a bowl. Use a
wooden spoon to work in the margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add
the liquid egg and stir until moistened. Reserve 3/4 cup of the mixture for the top. Press
the remaining mixture into the bottom of an 8-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Spread with blueberry filling. Sprinkle with the reserved oat mixture.
4. Bake until the crust is golden and the blueberry filling is bubbly at the edges, about 30 min.
Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Makes 24 bars. ** I cut back a bit on the amounts of sugar substitutes. **
