TOUR HIGHLIGHT - COLORADO SPRINGS!

The "I Love My KettleBell" Tour stopped in Colorado Springs recently to kick off a KettleWorx Challenge...a home grown Biggest Loser contest put on by the Gastroenterology Associates of Colorado Springs. We even have team names! The "Lean Mean Cancer Fighting Team" versus the "Pain Killaz." What started as one KettleWorx success story has now turned into 55 participants putting KettleWorx to the test. Everyone has weighed in and body measurements have been taken. Stay tuned to see which team has the most to lose in the challenge where every loser is a winner!

BLAME IT ON THE TRAINER!

If you've got kids around...soon you'll have plastic pumpkins chock-full of "fun-size" treats. TRAINER WARNING - Enjoy. Your trainer is giving you permission to eat as much Halloween candy as you want, for one night only. Eat so much, that you start to mumble to yourself, "I never want to eat chocolate again!" Yes, it is possible!

However let's take a look at what happens if you keep visiting that secret stash of candy each day for the next week. Take the "fun-size" bag of Peanut M & M's at 108 calories, 5.5 g fat, 10.7 g sugar. Multiply by at least 5 and you've consumed more than 500 EXTRA calories. Do that each day for a week and you just gained 1 POUND of Pure Excess Body Fat. And you're on your way to a new visible roll on your stomach!

If you let your guard down now, guess what? Thanksgiving Dinner is coming soon, followed by numerous other holiday food extravaganzas and then New Year Celebrations. And before you know it, 5-10-15 pounds of new fat has appeared on your body.

As your trainer, I highly recommend that you eat lots of candy on Halloween Day. Eat lots of pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving Day. Eat lots of food for one holiday dinner. Enjoy! Celebrate and Have Fun! You deserve to treat yourself on a Holi-DAY occasion. Just be sure to turn your willpower dial to MAXIMUM the NEXT day.

Lemon: This simple, bright smelling citrus fruit is a great way to start off every morning to alkalinize your body and stimulate your digestive tract. Lemons are packed with potassium, vitamin C and antioxidants. Squeeze half a fresh lemon in a glass of water upon waking. Lemon water helps cleanse toxins out of your body, making your skin glow and helps get rid of fat.

Lastly dark chocolate is lower in sugar than milk chocolate.
